Skimmers ECI Awards Dinner

Skimmers, please join us as we wrap up an amazing ECI weekend with our annual ECI Awards Dinner!

🎉 All Skimmers who competed at ECI will be acknowledged during the celebration.

👨👩👧👦 All swimmers and their families are welcome!

🎟 Tickets:

• $15.00 per person
• Children under age 4 eat free
• You do not need to purchase a ticket to attend the awards portion.

• Rice & Beans
• Pollo Asado
• Carnitas
• Carne Asada

🥤 Beverages:

• Complimentary water and lemonade
• A bar will be available for soda and adult beverages
  (Please note: no children are allowed in the bar area.)

Pre-Event Night Information

Join us the night before the big event for a fun and exciting evening! Here’s what to expect:

Car Decorating: We’ll have markers available for swimmers to decorate car windows.

Practice & Parent Meeting: Swimmers will practice at 6:00 PM, and parents will have a quick meeting during practice.

Dinner: Dinner will begin around 6:30PM. It’s a Carb Load-Up dinner to fuel up for tomorrow’s meet.

Warm-Ups: Start promptly at 7:10 AM.

Volunteer Opportunities

We need 4 extra volunteers to help with clean-up on Sunday, which will take about an hour. Volunteers will receive a prime parking spot for the entire weekend as a thank-you! Sign up through the job app.

Hospitality Donations

Please bring your assigned dish and hospitality donation (enough for your family + 4). Be sure to pick up your dish and utensils at the end of the evening—any unclaimed items will be disposed of.

Dish Assignments:

A-F: Warm pasta dish +  hospitality item whole watermelon

G-L: Cold pasta dish + hospitality item grapes

M-R: Vegetables (cold or warm) + hospitality item strawberries

S-Z: Cut fruit + hospitality item oranges

Tuck-In for 8 & Under Skimmers and first year Skimmers

If you signed up for a tuck-in, please ensure you’re home by 7:30PM. Unfortunately, sign-ups are now closed.

📸 Picture Day Reminder – Skimmers Swim Team

Date: June 24, 2025  | Time: 5:45 PM sharp

All Skimmers should have their team suit by now—please make sure your swimmer wears it for pictures!

• Pictures will begin promptly at 5:45 PM.
• Each Skimmer will have the opportunity to take individual and/or buddy pictures.
• Once those are done, we’ll gather everyone for a team photo—so please stick around until that’s complete!

We appreciate your patience, as the process can take some time.

🎉 Bonus: If we wrap up early, we’ll open the pool for free swim, so bring your goggles and towels just in case!

We’re planning a few simple ways to show our appreciation—and you’re invited to participate in whatever way feels right for your family. No pressure to give to every coach—your swimmer likely has a special connection with one or two in particular!

• Tuesday (June 24) – Sign-a-Shirt & Note Writing Day Stop by the table before getting in the water to: ✔️ Sign a special thank-you shirt ✔️ Write a sweet note to your coach—we’ll have notes and pens available!
• Thursday (June 26) – Sweet Treat Day Bring a little treat to brighten your coach’s day!(Please note: Coach Suzye and Coach Shelby are gluten-free. Coach Suzye also prefers no tropical fruit.)

In observance of Juneteenth, there will be no swim practice on Thursday, June 19.

Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. We encourage everyone to take the time to reflect, learn, and honor the significance of this day.

Practice will resume as scheduled on June 23rd.
